STANDARD FORM 278

Certain senior executive branch employees are required by law to file a public financial disclosure report, that is Standard Form 278.  This report serves as a disclosure to the general public of the financial interests of these employees, their spouses and minor children.

The affected filers must file any time after January, but no later than May 15.  An individual who has been in a position that requires this type of filing for more than 60 days, during the preceding calendar year, is obliged to file.

Fee for late Filing of SF 278:

Any person who is required to file and does so more than 30 days after the date of the report is required to be filed, or if an extension is granted, more than 30 days after the last day of  the filing extension period shall be subject to a $200.00 late filing fee.
